Picking Up the Weights Again: April 1, 2020

Focus: How can we start lifting mental weights again?

1. Warming up: Open up Quizlet and begin reviewing Lists 1-7 (5-10 minutes)
  • Also, if you missed yesterday's Q&A, feel free to check out the recorded session HERE.

2. Taking a look at each other's book lists and prompts:
  • Spend about 10-15 minutes perusing your classmates' prompts and book lists, which they have posted on their blogs.
  • Leave comments on others' blogs in the comment section underneath the post.

3. Reading your book club novel and preparing your syllabus for Meeting #3; make sure that your book club has figured out the following:
  • What online platform will you use for your meeting?
  • When will you meet (set aside 30 minutes)?
  • Are you on track for following your original schedule?
HW:
1. For Thursday: 
  • Complete your timed writing on "The Landlady." Preferably, please type it and share it with me. If that's not possible, you can send me a photo, but my feedback won't be as detailed.
  • Join our MANDATORY live workshop on Thursday from 1:30-2:00. If you can't make the live session, please watch the recorded session and set up a one-on-one session with me.

2. For Friday: 
  • Fall back in love with you book club book! Skim back through the parts that you've already read, and make sure you're caught up with the reading and syllabus you originally assigned for Book Club Meeting #3.
  • Find a 30-minute time (and online platform) to meet with your book club. 
  • Make sure your syllabus is in your shared folder, and keep notes on it during your meeting.
